Legends and folklore surrounding mythical creatures has been a fascination for me ever since I was a kid.  I remember growing up hearing stories from my grandfather about our local lake monster, Smetty of Lake DeSmett in northern Wyoming and the Nimerigar “little people” of the Big Horn Mountains.   Recently, a renewed interest in some of the more popular stories like the Patterson-Gimlin footage, the Mothman of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and the Enfield Horror of the midwest has sparked a curiosity to dive a little deeper.  The results are illustrated in this absurd little map that pinpoint a great deal of what I’ve discovered.
