The Siren of Styx

The age old parable that the lure of desires can in some cases lead to misfortune resonates with almost everyone. Sometimes it is entirely evident or partially foreseeable and at other times completely unknown.  Ultimately this flow can be perceived as being part of a persons life journey happening over and over again. Yet, the moment can feel like a conflict of stark contrasting emotions. Feelings of great pleasure and great suffering are perhaps revealing a deeper longing within the current we are swept in and taken by.
